A new regulatory sandbox approach and age-verification method are being developed to better protect underage Malaysians from harmful content on social media, says Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching.

She said the regulatory sandbox will allow the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to collaborate with industry players to test and refine safety measures before they are fully implemented.
