On Day 2 of India Energy Week 2026 in Goa, Engineers India Limited (EIL) highlighted its pivotal role in building and transforming India’s energy infrastructure. Speaking to OneIndia, Naveen Parashar, Executive Director, C&MD Office, EIL, said the response at the event has been overwhelming, noting that EIL has been instrumental in developing the world-class infrastructure hosting India Energy Week itself — a contribution acknowledged even during the inaugural session. With nearly six decades of engineering excellence, EIL has played a central role in India’s oil and gas journey, having built 20 out of India’s 21 refineries. The company also showcased its global footprint, including landmark projects like the Dangote Refinery in Nigeria, ongoing assignments with ADNOC in Abu Dhabi, and projects across multiple continents. The conversation focused on innovation and efficiency, highlighting EIL’s role in deploying LCMAX technology at HPCL’s Vizag refinery, improving bottoms recovery to nearly 95%, and delivering some of the world’s most energy-efficient refinery units. EIL also spoke about the growing use of AI across the entire energy value chain — from project execution to refinery operations — aimed at improving asset integrity, reliability and efficiency. As India transitions to cleaner and more sustainable energy systems, EIL continues to act as a trusted engineering partner, delivering complex, first-of-its-kind projects — from BS6 upgrades to bio-based and petrochemical complexes — and ensuring timely, risk-managed execution.
