For the original 1987 MSX game, Konami used a illustration of hero Solid Snake based on a publicity still of American actor Michael Biehn as Kyle Reese in the original Terminator film. Unusual easter eggs between the 2 series even spread to related works. CBS TV drama Beauty And The Beast (1987-1990), for example, starred Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman. This was also the name of a unit of cybernetically enhanced female soldiers in the 2008 Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots.
