Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation के Mayor पद के लिए BJP ने Ritu Tawde के नाम का ऐलान कर दिया है।
यह घोषणा Mumbai BJP President Ameet Satam ने BMC headquarters में की। Ritu Tawde Ghatkopar से corporator हैं और लंबे समय से Mayor race में उनका नाम चल रहा था।
इस फैसले के साथ ही BMC Mayor पद पर Shiv Sena का 25 साल पुराना दबदबा खत्म हो गया है। वहीं Mahayuti alliance ने Mumbai civic body में अपनी स्थिति मजबूत कर ली है। दूसरी ओर Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena ने Sanjay Shankar Ghadi को Deputy Mayor के लिए चुना है।Ghadi Ward No. 5 से corporator हैं और उनका कार्यकाल 15 महीनों का होगा। इस पूरे घटनाक्रम ने Mumbai municipal politics की दिशा बदल दी है।
