समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव ने लोकसभा में आम बजट पर चर्चा के दौरान केंद्र सरकार पर तीखा हमला बोला। उन्होंने अमेरिका के साथ हुई कथित ‘डील’ को देशहित के खिलाफ बताते हुए इसे ‘डील नहीं, ढील’ करार दिया। यादव ने कहा कि सरकार की आर्थिक नीतियां और बजट की प्राथमिकताएं आम जनता, किसानों और कमजोर वर्गों के हितों के अनुरूप नहीं हैं।अखिलेश यादव ने तंज कसते हुए कहा कि देश को यह तय करना होगा कि 18 बड़ा है या जीरो। उनका इशारा टैरिफ और आयात-निर्यात नीतियों की ओर था। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर किसी वस्तु पर शुल्क कम या शून्य कर दिया जाता है तो इसका असर घरेलू उद्योगों और किसानों पर पड़ सकता है। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि सरकार बजट के जरिए बड़े-बड़े आंकड़े पेश कर रही है, लेकिन जमीनी स्तर पर कोई ठोस बदलाव दिखाई नहीं दे रहा। उनके अनुसार, यह बजट दिशा और दृष्टि दोनों से रहित है।

Yadav said the government's economic policies and budget priorities are not in line with the interests of the general public, farmers, and vulnerable sections. Akhilesh Yadav sarcastically said the country must decide whether 18 is a big number or zero. He was referring to tariff and import-export policies. He said that if duties on any item are reduced or zero, it could impact domestic industries and farmers. He alleged that the government is presenting grand figures in the budget, but no concrete changes are visible on the ground. According to him, this budget lacks both direction and vision.
