Story Sponsored by Bob's Discount Furniture - http://mybobs.com. This week West Hartford's Whole Foods Raymond Road store became the chain's latest location to install solar panels. The more than 400 roof top panels are projected to produce 87,000 kilowatt hours of energy in their first full year of use - enough energy to light the store every day. Wednesday a dedication and celebration of the next generation of energy was hosted in front of the store. Local leaders and citizens were greeted with sun themed treats and, for the willing, a steep climb to the roof. The project was completed with the help of SunEdison and Connecticut Clean Energy Fund. Whole Foods plans on extending the solar panels to more stores soon. Distributed by Tubemogul.
