Classical music concerts in Germany draw huge crowds,partly because they no longer cater to an elite audience alone. Recently around 18,000 people took in a simulcast broadcast of Wagner's opera Tristan and Isolde at an open-air public viewing in Berlin. It's a trend that's catching on.
