Rob Kindler, global head of M&A at Morgan Stanley, says more corporations are hiring corporate development staff in-house. "We used to do a lot more deal due diligence, the bankers did a lot more of that, but now the corporations have quite wisely understood that they need to have people do the due diligence who have to live with the assets," he explains.
