Although he seems to have recorded quite a few sides in the mid-thirties, nothing is known about this bandleader active in the New York area, who also regularly performed for NBC radio broadcasts. This lovely recording was probably made in 1934 and the vocalist remained uncredited. It can be confirmed we are hearing Dick Robertson though.
