85-year-old businessman Nihat Gökyigit has taken up the conservationist cause in his native Turkey. His environmental protection organization TEMA helps promote planting efforts in deforested areas.He has also established a botanical garden in Istanbul where people can learn more about local plantlife. Gökyigit's main goal is to help children develop a greater awareness of the need to protect nature.
