Background for clip: the Japanese General is awarding rice to any Chinese person who defeats the Japanese fighters-one bag per 1 defeated Japanese fighter. Later, Ip Man's friend is killed by the General in a duel.
After SiFu Liu is shot by the colonel for daring to pick up rice that he earned on a previous duel, Ip Man gets really pissed off and demands a fight with 10 of the black belts. When Ip Man wins, he refuses to take his reward (10 bags of rice); the General tell him to “come again”. Ip Man says he “did not come here for the rice”. His interpreter tells the General that he will come back.
