The BlogWorld staff once again outdid themselves with another incredible show. WebProNews Reporter Abby Johnson caught up with Rick Calvert, the Co-founder and CEO of BlogWorld, to find out what made the event so successful.

From the very first BlogWorld Expo back in 2007, Calvert has been advocating the convergence between traditional media and new media. He said the BlogWorld Expo 2009 proved that idea since it showcased names such as Kevin Pollak, Jenny the Bloggess, and the guys behind Chad Vader, working together in perfect harmony.

Looking into the future, Calvert believes more celebrities will follow in Kevin Pollak’s footsteps and have online-only shows. In addition, he sees online stars such as the Chad Vader guys becoming successful on television networks. The same principle will also carry over to more bloggers moving into traditional media and vice versa.
