Peruvian presidential hopeful Keiko Fujimori has celebrated her birthday as her party honoured her with a rendition of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock".

Four Fujimorism lawmakers pulled out all stops to mark her 35th birthday, leaping to the stage in torn clothing with their faces painted and boogying down like zombies to the Jackson classic.

The scene was complete with lights and smoke as Carlos Raffo, Cecilia Chacon, Martha Moyano and Alejandro Aguinaga reenacted the King of Pop's award-winning 1983 music video.

Raffo said: "This is the Fujimorism response to all the attacks. We laugh and have fun. They say we are dead, so we do Thriller. They say that we should be in the San Jorge [Prison], so we do 'The Jailhouse Rock'. This is what Fujimorism is about. We don't have room for bad feelings in our guts. We just put on a happy face and say we are here and we do things our way."

The unlikely music and dance crew also honoured their leader with an interpretation of Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock" and brought the show to a close with Fujimori's 2011 election song, "Fuerza Keiko".

Fujimori, a popular conservative lawmaker, officially launched her 2011 presidential campaign last week.

She is the daughter of former President Alberto Fujimori who led the country from 1990 - 2000. He was convicted last year for his role in ordering a death squad to attack presumed insurgents, and is credited with slaying inflation and stabilising the economy before his government collapsed in corruption.
