This video was created for my praxis project for NURS5115 Advancing Practice Through Nursing Education course at York University.
I used a few video clips from the 2007 film, "Freedom Writers", to introduce the idea of sharing stories, one of the core processes in narrative pedagogy.
To add emphasis and emotion to the video, there are three songs in the background used and are all referenced at the end of the video: the Glee version of both "Lean On Me" and "Imagine" as well as the original Beatles song, "Let It Be."
The images in the video are both from my personal collection and from the web found using google search.
This video's sole purpose is to share with Dr. P Bradley's NURS5115 class, Summer 2010, York University. A written explanation of who this praxis project is designed for and how it would be presented is submitted to the professor.
Thank you for watching. :)
