Paris Hilton is being sued by a hair extension company.
Hairtech International Inc claim that the socialite signed a contract to wear and promote their product, but was seen wearing a rival brand.
According to the lawsuit, filed in LA County Superior Court, the company is seeking $35 million (£22.4 million) in damages. This is rumoured to be ten times what Paris was originally paid under the contract.
It also alleges that the 29-year-old's partying lifestyle goes against the company's marketing campaign and that Paris missed a launch party for the hair extension line in 2007 as she was serving time in prison.
The heiress spent 23 days in jail that year after being caught driving twice on a suspended license while on probation for reckless driving.
