Here I'll detail one of my favorite proxy pylon strategies for league 2v2 combat: the Proxy Pylon rush. You start by locking up their base with photon cannons, then defending against an air attack which inevitably comes. Then you warp in infantry massively and don't allow your opponent to breathe. Enjoy!
