Mandahl Bay has been designated by the Virgin Islands Government as an "Area of Particular Concern" because of the massive, thriving eco-system that supports several endangered species. Developers are encroaching on the area, causing grave concern for the continued health of this wetland region. A Day Beneath the Waters of Mandahl Bay increases the environmental awareness of the area while supporting non-profit groups engaged in preserving this vital natural resource.
