Reports coming out of the States claim Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman have split.

The couple who got married in 2005 have one son together called Max.

It is thought the pair have had problems for the last six months, and attempts to revive their relationship have failed.

There is not said to be any incident involved in their separation, just that they have become more like friends.

It is not known yet if they will divorce. Both parties are said to be focusing on continuing to be friends and raise their two-year-old son together.
