The cast of Back To the Future have reunited in New York to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film franchise.
Michael J Fox (McFly) was joined my fellow cast members Christoper Lloyd (Doc Brown), Lea Thompson (Lorraine), Mary Steenburgen (Clara) and director Roberty Zemeckis.
Speaking on the red carpet, Michael J Fox said:
"I'm surprised that it had such continuing success. But on the other hand I understand why people relate to it. It's such a well-realised film, beautifully conceived and beautifully executed and I'm just happy to be a part of it."
Meanwhile Christopher Lloyd spoke about his favourite quote which came at the end of the first film:
"'Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.' But there are many."
Actress Lea Thompson who played Marty McFly's mother, Lorraine, said she believed Back to the Future fans were drawn to the film's positive message:
"Underneath all the excitement, it's very entertaining and it's thought provoking and it's fun but I think in it is the seed that if you change one moment of your life, if you stand up for yourself, at the most critical moment, and believe in yourself, your whole life can be different."
The Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy is available on Blu-ray and DVD on October 26.
