On This week's show we've got Ray LaMontagne on Jimmy Kimmel Live doing "Beg Steal or Borrow", from September 9th, 2010. We look ahead to the upcoming Polaris Music Prize broadcast on Saturday and play a bit of our favourite frontrunner, the Besnard Lakes, who delivered a spirited version of "And This Is What We Call Progress" from Jimmy Fallon back on March 23rd, 2010. Mumford and Sons perform "The Cave" from a Rockpalast recording at the Haldern Pop Festival, which was held on August 13th, 2010. Polaris Prize nominees Broken Social Scene perform two songs, the instrumental epic "Meet Me In The Basement", as well as "All to All" sung by relative newcomer Lisa Lobsinger, both recorded at Toronto's Concert Hall and broadcast on August 3rd, 2010. Finally we honour Ray Charles on what would have been his 80th birthday – he performs "What I'd Say" from the CBS "What's Happening Baby" TV Special in 1965.
