Members of the public took aim today at some familiar pop faces.

Despite their appearance though the pair were look-a-likes brought into help promote London's first tomato cage fight.

Over 200 members of the public competed in the enclosure to win tickets for this week's MTV Europe Music Awards.

With real-life Perry and Gaga both up for gongs, their 'next best thing' impersonators were the perfect pair to start the festivities as over 25,000 tomatoes flew through the air.

Three lucky winners got a pair of tickets to see their real-life music heroes on the 7th November.
