Take That's comeback single, The Flood, has been beaten to number one in the singles charts by Rihanna's Only Girl (In The World).

That is despite the boyband getting a lot of column inches these past few months, a Take That documentary plus an appearance on The X Factor over the weekend and Rihanna's tune already having been out for three weeks.

The Flood is the band's first single as a fivesome for around 15 years and the first single from their new album, Progress, which is out now.

Speaking recently about where they would like to chart with The Flood, Robbie said, "Number two, number one, number three... who cares? Our record company. Me. Me missus," before Gary interupted saying, "my mum!"

Gary went on to say, "If not number one, then number two."

Take That's new album Progress, out now, is expected to go straight to the top of the album charts as it has already become the biggest pre-order release of the year and the most indemand Take That album of all time.
