Robert Pattinson has apparently hired a body double in an attempt to distract his overzealous female fans.

The 24-year-old actor, who shot to fame as vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies, is reportedly inundated with fan mail and often gets swamped by admirers when he is out and about.

Robert is now rumoured to have increased his security and hired a body double to help him cope with his heart-throb status.

Meanwhile, Rob has been announced as one of the presenters for this year's Golden Globe Awards.

The Twilight star is amongst the first group of celebrities to be confirmed.

Matt Damon and Jennifer Lopez will also present gongs at this year's 68th awards ceremony, which is taking place on January 16 in Los Angeles.
