New York fashion designer Norma Kamali was among the audience at Shen Yun Performing Arts’ final Lincoln Center show.

[Norma Kamali, Fashion Designer]:
“The dance and the theme and the music and the singing and the color and the movement of the clothes, very, very exciting to see.”

She enjoyed watching the dancers’ costumes.

[Norma Kamali, Fashion Designer]:
“Well I do costumes for dance too, and I saw here the best example of how clothing can enhance, or fabric and clothing and sleeves, can enhance the movement and tell the story. And I think especially when so many of the sleeves became a part of the rhythm and a part of the overall design of the set. It was very impressive.”

She liked the color combinations in the show.

[Norma Kamali, Fashion Designer]:
“The color to is just so Chinese, you know there’s no other culture that really can put those colors together and make them work and we’re all wearing black. We have to go out now and put on some color.”
