Simon Cowell has hyped up the US X Factor, but there has still been no definite answer as to who will join him on the judging panel.

Cheryl Cole is widely reported to have signed a £10million, two-year deal, though nothing has been confirmed.

Nicole Scherzinger and Katy Perry appeared on the British X Factor last year to cover for Cheryl Cole, and it has been reported they could be offered a place.

The music mogul is also said to be considering former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, and Destiny's Child singer, Kelly Rowland.

The winner of the series will receive a $5million record deal, the largest guaranteed prize in television history.

Auditions are due to commence in LA on March 27.
