The proposed merger between NYSE Euronext and Deutsche Börse AG is "great for both entities," Tabb Group LLC founder Larry Tabb says in this video interview with The Deal magazine's Vipal Monga. "It creates arguably the largest exchange in the world. And it expands the geographic and asset-class diversification of both," Tabb says. More consolidation among stock exchanges is expected, with Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. and IntercontinentalExchange Inc. reportedly in serious talks.
