http://uselectionnews.org Dropping from it’s apex height of 55% in early January after the Tuscon assassination attempt of Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords, President Barack Obama’s approval rating stands at just above 50% according to a new poll released by CNN/Research Opinion Corporation. Obama’s disapproval rating in the same poll was at 47%, while his ratings with independents, a key demographic for the President in his 2012 reelection campaign, stood at 46% approval and 49% disapproval, a slight decrease since a related poll in February.
