The Czech Republic is recalling loaned art as quickly as possible, after a Vienna court confiscated two paintings and a bronze as security in a legal battle.A Liechtenstein pharmaceuticals firm has demanded 370 million euros in damages from the Czech Republic. It argued it had been excluded from a Czech government contract during the 1990s. A Paris court upheld the claim. But the Czech government refuses to acknowledge the verdict. After the seizure of artwork from the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, the Czech Republic is quickly rounding up all works out on loan and bringing them back to the country.
