"View of Mumbai. This is the largest phase of Rajiv Gandhi (Bandra-Worli) Sea Link Project. Primary features include a Cable Stayed Bridge including viaduct approaches extending from Worli up to Toll Plaza, a Modern Toll Plaza and an Intelligent Bridge System (IBS) The project tender was given to Hindustan Construction Company. The Link Bridge consists of twin continuous concrete box girder bridge sections for traffic in each direction. Each bridge section except at the cable - stayed portion is supported on piers spaced apart every 50 meters. Each section is meant for four lanes of traffic complete with concrete barriers and service side walks to a side. The bridge alignment is defined with vertical and horizontal curves.
