Q: Dr. Haskin, how did you get into the veterinary business? Tell us a little bit about your background.
Dr. Haskin: Everybody has a little story. Mine also goes back... I knew that I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was very young. His name is Chester. And he meant the world to me. At some point I remember him getting cancer. It's funny because at this point I look at that as a, I said I bet you had a tumor. As a vet, I know know how it probably went. Because he ran away and he had surgery. He came home for a few days and he died shortly later. And I have a feeling I knew what type of tumor because I remember my mother tell me it was the size of a football. He meant the whole world to me, and I just felt that at that moment because he touched me so much. I wanted to connect better with animals. I wanted to give back. I wanted to be very young to help that dog.
