Unlike drivers of cars and trucks, motorcyclists are not surrounded by steel cages or bumpers. Safety experts also believe that motorcyclists are more likely to get into crashes because drivers find them difficult to see in traffic especially if wearing dark clothing and are on a dark color motorcycle. This leads to crashes that could have been prevented with a little more care not only by the motorcyclist but by other drivers as well.
