It's a tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages, but it's still alive here in Germany. Today, there are 500 so-called "journeymen" currently plying their trade far from home. These craftsmen gain experience for their trade on the road, a journey known as the "Walz".
In our modern world, their traditional suits, large hats and travelers'knapsacks stand out. MADE IN GERMANY accompanies two of them on part of their journey and asked why the tradition is still so important.
