Thanksgiving Dinner Tips - Deciding Seating Arrangements - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. The guests have arrived and not they are sitting down for a meal. It is vital where you choose to sit people. So, in a home where you have both the male and female, the husband and the wife, both of those people would be considered the host and the one would sit at one end of the table and the other host at the other end of the table. Now, if I am sitting at the end of the table and I am the female hostess, then I would seat my guest of highest honor to my right. My guest of second highest honor would sit to my left. Now, because we have two hosts and a husband or the other partner would be sitting at the opposite end of the table. They would seat another high honor guest to their right and another high honor guest to their left. So, in reality, we can actually honor four people as our guests of honor so, I think that is a lovely way to do that. Who would be a guest of honor? Well, it could be someone who is mature or the oldest family member, such as a grandmother or great-grandmother. It could also be somebody who is having a birthday or any other special event but, we always want to honor them. And the way we choose that honoring system to the right is we also want to know that the food is passed around to the right so our guest of highest honor receives it first.
