Palestinian militants fire rockets into southern Israel Friday in an act of retaliation against an earlier Israeli air strike that killed three Palestinians and militants, according to a video obtained by Reuters.
The Salahudeen Brigades released the video to foreign news organizations.
They also released a statement claiming they would target Israeli towns close to the Gaza Strip.
A different message from Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) HAMAS LEADER ISMAIL HANIYEH SAYING:
"We are making intensive contacts with several Arab and international parties and we stress on the necessity this aggression over the Palestinian people must be stopped immediately."
In the meantime, Palestinians prepare to bury their dead.
Hamas spurns peacemaking with the Jewish state but has in the past proposed truces as it sought to consolidate control over Gaza and negotiate power-sharing with the rival, U.S.-backed Fatah faction of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
