The widow of former South Korean President Kim Dae-jung pays her respects to the North's late leader lying in state in Pyongyang.
Lee Hee-ho whose husband drew up a now-abandoned policy of engagement with the North led a delegation across the border on Monday.
The South Korean group laid wreaths at the mausoleum where Kim Jong-il's body is on display.
Lee was also shown meeting Kim's youngest son and heir apparent, Kim Jong-un.
She was joined on the visit by the widow of Hyundai business group's late former chairman.
The South Korean conglomerate is one of the country's largest and has investments in the North.
North Korean media said the footage is said to have been shot on December 26th and was released by state broadcaster KRT the next day.
KRT also aired footage of Kim Jong-un wiping away tears as national mourning continued in the run-up to his father's funeral.
Kim died from heart complications more than week before this footage was shot.
The funeral takes place on December 28th.
