Israel Permits Entry Of Fuel, Medical Supplies To Gaza, As Kassam Rockets Fall in Sderot

Facing immense international pressure Israel began easing its siege on Gaza Tuesday moning allowing truckloads of fuel and humanitarian supplies to enter the Gaza Strip. Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided Monday night to allow a one time shipment of the goods, including 2.2 million liters of diesel fuel for Gaza's power plant and 50 truckloads of medical and vital food supplies. On Tuesday morning as the trucks made their way to Gaza, three Kassam rockets fell in Sderot. No one was wounded, the rocket barrages hit the town as children were on their way to school.01/22/08
