Iran's head of parliament, Ali Larijani, criticized US President-Elect Barack Obama for his recent comments on Irans nuclear program. In his first news conference after being elected president Barack Obama said that an international effort must be made to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. Larijani called the comments a step in the wrong direction and implored Obama to carry out his campaign slogans of foreign policy change, including change in US dealings with Iran. 11/08/09
