A month after the great fire at the Carmel forest has raged, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has decided to arrange an official ceremony commemorating the 44 victims. The ceremony will take place on January 5th, where a monument will be raised in memory of the dead. The forest fire in northern Israel, which destroyed nearly 8,000 acres of woodlands in the Mount Carmel range, burned homes and killed 44 people, was the biggest conflagration in the country's 62- year history.
