The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is donating over 100 bomb shelters to be placed in rocket prone areas inthe Southern Israel. The international organization raised $1 million for the prefabricated shelters which will be placed near schools and other public places and will be erected in at least 12 southern cities including Beersheba,Ashkelon, Ashdod and Ofakim. Each shelter costs $10,000 and can accommodate 28 people. The organization decided to donate the shelters following last month's deadly attack on the highway near Eilat in which 8 Israelis were killed and the numerous rockets fired by Palestinians in Gaza at southern Israel, killing one person and sending others fleeing for shelter.
