Supporters gathered outside court in Kiev for the verdict in the trial of Ukrainian opposition leader Yuri Lutsenko.

Crowds chanted 'freedom to Yuri' as he awaited the judge's ruling on charges relating to corruption and abuse of office.

Lutsenko is leader of the Self-Defence Party, an ally of jailed former prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko's Fatherland party.
