ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: A tired looking Jean Dujardin was hounded by a group of photographers and cameramen as he tried to make his way through Los Angeles International Airport to catch a flight to his home country of France.
The actor, who celebrated his Oscar victory at the Vanity Fair party, appeared less exuberant than a few hours before when he became the first Frenchman to win a best actor Academy Award, beating fellow nominees George Clooney and Brat Pitt to the coveted accolade.
Dujardin, a household name in France, shot to international fame thanks to his role as George Valentine in "The Artist", a black and white silent movie about a Hollywood actor who struggles with Hollywood's transition from silent to talking pictures in the late 1920s.
The actor is expected to arrive in France along with his director, Michel Hazavanicius, and co-star, Berenice Bejo.
