Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL from Papaya Studio and Crave Entertainment for the Nintendo Wii. The original Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion was released for the Nintendo 3DS. This XL version was brought to home consoles five months later, and in addition to being played on a bigger screen, the selling point here is that it has extra stuff. Unfortunately, you don't get any added quality. This game puts the stars of Cartoon Network into a Smash Bros. clone. The idea for this kind of fighting game is amazing. But where Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion lets you down is execution.
