Arab League leaders are in Baghdad for an historic summit expected to be dominated by what to do about Syria and the peace plan of special envoy Kofi Annan.

It is the first time in more than 20 years that the organisation has met in the Iraqi capital and the first time Syria will not take part as it remains suspended.
