Jim Avignon is a painter, musician and a DJ from Berlin. In his new project sponsored by the Goethe Institute, he teamed up with artists from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean to create a mural in a public space in each participating country. But in Latin America, street art is still often associated with brutal gangs called "maras".
