Kofi Annan, the UN and Arab League envoy on Syria, on Tuesday said there is still time for his ceasefire plan to work.

He had earlier visited refugee camps close to the Turkish-Syria border, where an estimated 25,000 people are living.

Annan said that all parties in the conflict should respect Thursday's deadline to end the fighting for the sake of the Syrian people.
