With two days left before Indians head to the polls, the ruling Congress party is fighting to stay in power.

The party, which led the struggle for freedom against the British, has lost key allies and a dramatic share of the vote in recent decades.

Critics say Congress is tainted by corruption. But India's only inclusive national party is in power at a time when fracures along geographic, religious and caste lines are manifest in Indian politics.
