It is not exactly the G8 or the G20, but the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) is a group starting to wield more and more power these days. Even though they are not what you would call the world's economic powerhouses, they are, importantly, nearly all countries with gas or energy interests - making them much more influential in the global economy.
