Cities across the US are turning into ghost towns as people lose their homes and move away.

And California's sunny central valley is no exception. The city of Fresno has streets of vacant houses, and many of them have swimming pools.

In hard times, some of Fresno's residents are using the abandoned pools to cheer themselves up.

Casey Kauffman explains.
