Serbia's right wing oppostion leader Tomislav Nicolic and his wife Dragica cast their votes in the country's presidential and parliamentary ballots.

Sixty-year-old Nikolic and his populist Serbian Progressive Party are narrow favourites to win both this and the country's parliamentary elections.

Incumbent Boris Tadic also casts his vote at the polls.

With no party predicted to win an outright majority, many analysts are predicting Tadic's Democratic Party will retain power.

The Socialist Party of Slobodan Milosevic, who died in 2006, is polling third and likely to emerge as kingmaker.

Since Milosevic, Serbia has teetered between pro-Western liberals and unrepentant, pro-Russian nationalists.
