Indonesian broadcaster TVOne showed pictures it said was the Russian Sukhoi aircraft on the tarmac and taking off at Halim Perdanakusuma airport on Wednesday (May 9), as it began its final demonstration flight before it later crashed.
Wreckage of the aircraft, which had about 50 people on board, was found on Thursday (May 10) strewn on a steep mountain ridge south of the Indonesian capital where it crashed during the flight.
The Superjet 100 aircraft, Russia's first all-new passenger jet since the fall of the Soviet Union, went missing on Wednesday about 40 miles (64 km) south of Jakarta.
